New malware threatens cloud server security

According to the cloud computing revolution (aws, azure, google cloud …) in recent years that is is reputed to be protected against cyberattacks, But lately researchers have discovered a new malware that can circumvent the security of servers protected by the products of Tencent and Alibaba.

Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 researchers who have discovered the malware that is able to disabled the security of the Cloud. The new malware is being used by Rocker’s hacker group in order to remove security products that protect a computer. server under Linux.

Using this malicious software, the Rocke hackers group is able to disable cloud protections that are supposed to detect cyber attacks. In the beginning, malware takes full control of security products. It then uses the primary administrative control to uninstall these products from the servers, based on instructions available online.

According to the Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 research team, products vulnerable to malware have been developed by Chinese cloud providers that expand internationally. These are Tencent and Alibaba. In order to solve the problem, the researchers contacted both companies.
